Abstract

Aimed at describing the main consequences of alcoholism on health, a medical literature review was conducted, consulting a total of 29 references, from the sources as SciELO and PubMed. It was concluded that excessive alcohol consumption is the cause of a series of disorders that include gastrointestinal, embryonic, respiratory, neurodegenerative, cardiovascular, psychological, renal, immune diseases and cancer.
