A 71-year-old white male patient, a long-time smoker, who was admitted to the Internal Medicine service for 3 weeks with general symptoms: cough, bloody expectoration, slight shortness of breath unrelated to exertion, dull left posterior chest pain. , which increases when coughing and "inflammation" of the neck. On physical examination, a hard, firm, slightly mobile, non-painful adenopathic mass was found on both sides of the neck, and dry rales located in the left mid-pulmonary field were auscultated. A posteroanterior chest X-ray is indicated, showing a rounded radiopaque image of 3-4 cm in diameter in the left hilar and parahilar region, with well-defined edges. A biopsy of the lung lesion and lymph node was performed, confirming an epithelial bronchogenic tumor, squamous cell carcinoma type with lymph node metastasis. The patient maintains clinical stability and receives treatment with chemotherapy and multidisciplinary care.Downloads
