About the Journal
Universidad Médica Pinareña is a peer-reviewed, open access electronic journal, edited at the University of Medical Sciences of Pinar del Río, which follows a continuous publication model (one volume per year). It is aimed at students and health professionals or those related to it. Its purpose is to satisfy the need to socialize scientific information in health sciences or related to them, resulting from research and other relevant activities in the development of public health. Authors may publish editorials, letters to the editor, original articles, review articles, case presentations, brief communications and any other information that is relevant and important for the development of scientific activity. There is no charge for processing or publication of articles, and all content is accessible and protected under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license.
